Maar hy het geweier om weg te draai. Toe steek Abner hom met die agterent van die spies in die onderlyf, sodat die spies agter hom uitkom en hy daar neerval en op die plek sterwe. En almal het bly staan wat aankom by die plek waar Asahel geval en gesterwe het.
