| This project started by my noticing that while many of the more popular Bible sites
had wonderful features, they were often difficult to get to or tedious to configure,
distracting me from the main reason I went to the sites in the first place:
To study the word of God.
I believe an online Bible should be simple and distraction free while maintaining a
robust set of powerful search and browsing capabilities. While thinking about how to accomplish
this, I came up with the following deign goals:
- Every option should be useable from the main bible page.
- Jumping to a specific verse or initiating a search should never be more than one click away.
- Features should always compliment eachother as much as possible.
- The interface should be visual and intuitive.
- Search results should be relevent and easy to read.
- New features should never be in conflict with the design goals.
I hope to have met all of these goals by the time the site is complete. Until then...
